Simple Place는 Nguyễn Văn Hưởng의 소박한 상가 건물에 자리하며, 매일 오전 10시부터 오후 10시까지 외국인 거주자와 배달 라이더들이 꾸준히 찾아든다. 메뉴는 멕시칸이라는 레이블이 암시하는 것보다 훨씬 다양하다 — taco, burrito, quesadilla는 물론, calzone과 carbonara pizza, bruschetta까지 선보이며, 이들 메뉴 역시 리뷰어들로부터 높은 평가를 받는다.
메뉴의 핵심은 단연 taco다. 구운 새우에 신선한 망고, 매콤한 민트 소스, 사워크림을 곁들인 shrimp mango salsa taco는 두터운 단골층을 형성하고 있으며, 옥수수 토르티야에 jalapeño와 절임 양파, 찍어 먹는 국물을 함께 내는 birria beef taco도 마찬가지로 인기다. 전반적으로 양이 넉넉하고, 인근 외국인 대상 레스토랑들에 비해 가격 대비 만족도가 눈에 띄게 높다.
실내 에어컨룸은 손님이 많지 않아도 소음이 다소 크게 느껴질 수 있어, 선선한 저녁에는 야외 좌석이 더 조용한 선택이 된다. 서비스는 세심하지만 피크 타임에는 식사 테이블과 GrabFood 주문을 동시에 처리해야 해 소통이 느려질 수 있으며, 러시아워 기준 30~40분 대기는 이례적인 일이 아니다.
Simple Place를 찾는 손님은 현지 입맛보다 국제적 취향에 맞춰 조리된 음식을 선호하는 외국인이 주를 이룬다. 간은 달콤하기보다 고소하고 새콤한 편이다. beef nachos와 shrimp quesadilla는 GrabFood 단골을 매장 방문 단골로 이끄는 데 단단히 한몫했다. 여럿이 함께 와 메뉴를 폭넓게 주문해 나눠 먹기 좋은, 실용적이고 믿음직한 저녁 식사 장소다.
First time at the new place and what a great night. We have been getting grab orders for a while now and we found it even better to be at the restaurant. We had a mix of everything from Calzone, Beef nachos, Carbonara pizza, Burrata, Lamb stew taco soft, and Shrimp mango salsa taco soft. The calzone was huge and so so tasty. The Burrata was soft and fresh. Beer town stayed fresh and chilled and topped our night off.
To long for waiting, i'm wait up to 40m for a pasta and two tacos. The food here is quite large in portion and tastes quite good for the price. But it's really crowded so the staff here can't be controlled.
I thought it was the thickest Quesadilla i had ever had in my life. Very nice as well! I had 1 shrimp mango and 1 duck (both tacos). Both crispy and soft are as nice. Price was reasonable. Not a fancy fancy place but very comfortable being at. Suitable for casual meetups and having nice food. Just a little hard to explain things in English to the waitress, it’s a bit missing esp in Thao Dien.
Their food was so good. We ordered beef nachos and a shrimp quesadilla and they were absolutely amazing! Seasoned to perfection and veggies were fresh. One downside is that the air conditioned room was quite echoing, so even though there were only us and another table of 2, conversations sounded very loud. Also, the restroom’s door didn’t seem to have a stopper, so it would bang very loudly every time someone left restroom. Hopefully the restaurant can work on this.
The venue is nothing special. But it's not out on the street, so that was good. The service was good too with smiling and helpful staff. The food here was good for the price. And it's not adapted to Vietnamese palates; meaning it's not sweet. It's here to cater foreigners. The value is excellent and I ate too much!
