Bánh by Mia는 An Khánh을 가로지르는 한적한 골목 중 하나인 Trần Ngọc Diện의 작은 상가 건물에 위치해 있다. 실내는 아담하고 에어컨이 잘 갖춰져 있으며, 도로 쪽을 향한 야외 공간은 아침 햇살을 받기에 좋지만 시간이 지날수록 더워진다. 매일 오후 4시에 마감하기 때문에, 아침 식사부터 점심 사이의 시간대에 찾는 것이 제격이다.
페이스트리 메뉴가 가장 많은 주목을 받는다. 크루아상은 Thao Dien 베이커리 씬에서 탄탄한 팬층을 형성하고 있으며, 결이 잘 살아있는 반죽이 매번 방문할 때마다 신선함을 유지한다. 더욱 돋보이는 것은 세이버리 danish들이다. 톰얌 danish는 버터의 묵직함을 잘라내는 시트러스한 열감이 인상적이고, xôi danish는 베트남 찹쌀의 풍미를 프랑스 페이스트리 구조 안에 녹여낸 시도가 신선하다. pesto & ham danish는 흔들림 없이 완성도 있게 어우러진다. 진열장 안의 로즈 리치 케이크 역시 같은 야심을 드러내는데, 지나치게 섬세하지 않으면서도 플로럴한 향이 살아있다.
커피는 조용하지만 세심하다. 하우스 밀크 커피와 솔티드 밀크 커피 모두 구운 아몬드 향이 느껴져, 흔한 베트남식 드립 커피와는 선을 긋는다. bạc xỉu는 적어도 몇몇 방문객의 평에 따르면 완성도가 다소 떨어진다는 의견이 있다.
가격대는 Thao Dien 기준으로 중간 수준이다. 레이어드 페이스트리 가격으로는 동네 기준에서 합리적이지만, 두 명이 커피와 케이크를 함께 주문하면 50만 동에 달할 수 있다. 매장은 디지털 카메라 사용 금지 정책을 시행하고 있어 일부 방문객에게는 아쉬움을 남기기도 한다. 직원들은 친절하고 도움이 된다는 평가가 일관되게 이어진다.
주 고객층은 페이스트리에 안목 있는 단골들과 이 동네의 카페 거리를 탐방하는 방문객들이다. 오전 7시 30분에 문을 열기 때문에, 크루아상을 진지하게 즐기는 이들에게는 이 일대에서 가장 일찍 찾을 수 있는 제대로 된 선택지 중 하나가 된다.
Nice decor and cozy atmosphere. Cakes quality is acceptable but quite overpriced. Indoor space is small but it has AC. Outdoor space is pretty but quite hot. Spent 500k for a regular coffee date and couldn’t take photo by digital camera as it’s not allowed. What’s the point? Will not come back
Croissant was delicious but a little bit overpriced. Indoor room is quite small. Outside is good but very warm with this weather.
