I ordered the ribeye steak and really enjoyed it: just a delicious, tender piece of beef with a small side of vegetables. We also tried a few salads, which were nothing special, and the risotto was a bit too oily, as well as the bruschetta with anchovies.\n\nWhat I really want to highlight is the staff. Even though there were a few mistakes in our order, when we asked them to help congratulate our sister for her birthday, they did it in a very sweet and thoughtful way. I wasnt even going to give a review, but upon recent reflection, I feel it is important to let others know of the terrible experience I had, as I am a Black American woman, and feel I was racially targeted/discriminated against.\nBack in April I had reserved a table to host a womans tea party for my bday, where I also planned a collaborative photoshoot for a dress I had tailored and would feature on my instagram ( I am a fashion content creator). At the time I booked ( 1 week before the tea party), I was informed of the establishments policies, one being that they did not allow professional photographers/photography. So I canceled my photographer, and arranged for my assistant to take photos of me in the dress with his camera phone. When I arrived the day of, I was immediately refused entry by security/management: saying that the owner was present and told them not to let me in, because my dress looked too much like a wedding dress and they did not allow wedding photos( though this was not stated at all in their policies they sent me). I explained it was not a wedding dress neither was it a bridal photoshoot, but they insisted it appeared to be, and would not let me or my assistant in....that is, until I told them I would also like to cancel my tea party if I was not allowed to photoshoot. All of a sudden, management was able to get approval from the owner: but we were rushed and told we could only shoot for 30 minutes.\nSo In the end, I got to do both my photoshoot and the tea party( which was very lovely), and I was prepared to let the whole thing go and assume that it was just a lack of communication in disclosing their policies....until recently I saw a Russian photographer post a professional phototoshoot of a woman taken at Rose Villa Saigon. I immediately reached out to her to inquire on her experience: and she said she had no problem being let in to do the shoot: she didnt even pre arrange anything, just walked in with her client and introduced herself as a photographer, and they let them both in. In my eyes, this confirmed my inner suspicions that I had been racially profiled, seeing as how two \" White\" woman were given no problems in doing the same exact thing I was asking for. And the fact that it was done during my birthday celebration only made it worse ( btw I was told when I made the reservation that they would have a special suprise presented to me in celebration for my birthday...which never happened). It is for this reason that I give this establishment a 1 star, and do not recommend anyone particularly of non white descent to go there ( even my vietnamese assistant was immediately stopped and refused entry: they said his attire also was not appropriate, though again nothing in their policy stated what he was wearing was inappropriate attire).",{"author":434,"photos":435,"profile_image":436,"profile_url":6,"rating":396,"source":286,"text":437,"time":438},"Tom Tran",[],"https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a-/ALV-UjVSIna7nlfgcgGDKdYO9IkwR-LnOw5fElm5EsGUr-lU8zLz3B8d=s120-c-rp-mo-ba4-br100","This might honestly be the most beautiful place in all of Saigon. Do not skip this place. It is worth definitely it. Every corner looks like it was pulled straight out of a dream. Lush greenery, soft lighting, and the most incredible pink and red interior design I’ve ever seen. You can tell how much thought and care went into every detail.\n\nThe staff were wonderful. Attentive, polite, and genuinely helpful. Our waiter recommended the bánh cuốn and chả giò, and both were the best we’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor.\n\nYes, the prices are on the higher side, but it’s completely worth it. You’re not just paying for a meal here, you’re paying for the entire experience, the atmosphere, the interior design, the service.
