Think and aged balsamic vinegar would have toned down the tartness but it works as a good palate cleanser. Beef cheek is well rendered, gelatinous and tender. Loved the carrots too, so sweet.\n\nA large serving of thick cut pork chop was next. Well seasoned with a lovely brown crust. Served with a side of mash and watercress. We called it a night by skipping desserts and getting burgundy snails with bone marrow. Solid finish, we left very contented.
